About Tim Bauer

ready to ride to the start.
ready to ride to the start.

I began my journey into better health almost a decade ago. This included losing weight, wholesome eating habits, and more exercise. This evolved into running, which I never really liked before. Following a stress fracture I expanded my fitness adventure into the niche of gravel road biking. I also participate in adventure races, orienteering, and paddling to keep my life interesting. Hiking is also a component of my outdoor activities.

Currently, I serve as part-time pastor of 3 congregations in rural Hawley, MN. I also serve a congregation in Gardner, ND.  Exploration of new avenues for combining spiritual care, outdoor adventures, and reflective learning takes part of my creative energies.  I enjoy freelance writing and public speaking.  Officiating at weddings, funerals, and other transitional times provides creative interactions with those deeply affected by the joys and sorrows of life. I derive satisfaction and fulfillment in working with people in the multitude of life’s situations.

I’ve been married for over 35 years and have 2 adult daughters.

Good to catch up with you Tim! I have struggled to keep an address, etc. for you and Brenda. I am impressed with your writings that I have found & read. I would appreciate getting your current address and phone number. It’s been too long. (I can’t wait to share this with Jeff!!!) We just had our 41st anniversary a couple days ago, remember that snowy night??? It would be great to catch up with you and Brenda. Hope we can make plans to do that, either in your neck of the woods or ours. Hope you are both well….Debee

Sorry for the delay. Yes, I indeed remember that snowy night and the country church. It’s amazing where life goes and the journeys we all take. Let’s get in personal contact. I would enjoy a nice visit in person. Happy 2017!
