I began my journey into better health almost a decade ago. This included losing weight, wholesome eating habits, and more exercise. This evolved into running, which I never really liked before. Following a stress fracture I expanded my fitness adventure into the niche of gravel road biking. I also participate in adventure races, orienteering, and paddling to keep my life interesting. Hiking is also a component of my outdoor activities.
Currently, I serve as part-time pastor of 3 congregations in rural Hawley, MN. I also serve a congregation in Gardner, ND. Exploration of new avenues for combining spiritual care, outdoor adventures, and reflective learning takes part of my creative energies. I enjoy freelance writing and public speaking. Officiating at weddings, funerals, and other transitional times provides creative interactions with those deeply affected by the joys and sorrows of life. I derive satisfaction and fulfillment in working with people in the multitude of life’s situations.
I’ve been married for over 35 years and have 2 adult daughters.
