I’m making the final inspection of gear and supplies for the Tuscobia Winter Ultra in Rice Lake, WI. This will be the longest distance that I have gone on foot in a single event. Attempting to pack and plan for numerous variables is a mind game of its own. I tell myself that the sled is only so big, yet another part of me says, “You may need it if….” I’m looking forward to the beauty of the setting, the challenge of the journey, and the discoveries I’ll make along the way!
This is the link if you want to follow my progress via SPOT: Tim Tuscobia 2016 This link will become active on Saturday, January 9th at about 10am.
Following the event I’m traveling to see my dad and recognize his 90th birthday. I’ll be away from keyboards so there won’t be a report on Tuscobia for about a week.
